The attacker who assaulted two female WCC students by cutting their hair on campus has been apprehended by the Westchester County Police.

The man, described in a text sent out to the WCC community on March 6 as “a short white male with eyeglasses wearing an olive green jacket,” reportedly approached the two victims with a sharp object before cutting their hair and fleeing.

According to a campus-wide email sent out on March 9, the assailant has been informed that he will be immediately arrested should he “enter upon any WCC campus.” The email also provided a photograph of the attacker, which the Viking News has also provided to ensure the safety of the WCC community.

Should any member of the WCC community see the attacker (pictured left) on any WCC campus, the administration requests that they immediately call either WCC’s Security Department at (914) 606-6911, or the local police department at 911. Any other indecent or suspicious behavior seen on campus can and should also be reported to the aforementioned phone numbers.

The email went on to thank the victims of the attacks for coming forward and reporting the incidents, as well as the Westchester County Police Department for their swift and immediate response.
